Software Development Team Lead / Software Project Manager.
My client, based in Telford is looking to hire a Software Development Team Lead / Software Project Manager to take on the day to day management of the Development team and act as abridge between the non technical stakeholders and the development team.
This is a replacement role as the current person is emigrating to Australia and they are looking for someone to start asap
To be successful in this role you should be technically proficient, an excellent communicator and have some programming experience background to be able to support, integrate with and lead a team of skilled software developers.
Essential skills experience for the role of Software Development Manager:
- Strong networking and communication skills
- able to collaborate effectively with colleagues in other development teams, within the wider departments across the business
- Prior experience in leading and supporting teams working on complex software projects within an Agile methodology.
- Microsoft programming and SQL database skills
- Usage of software management tools for sprint planning, task tracking, requirements management, continuous integration, static analysis etc.
Developing their team is critical and you should be confident in advising the wider project team on matters of design, enhancements, optimisation, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure development teams are delivering highquality product and platform functionality, on time and on budget.
- Provide oversight on all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle from planning/resourcing to technical implementation, testing and ultimately customer success
- Review functional & technical specifications, providing feedback to software architects
- Ensure communication is flowing between key stakeholders in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Act as a bridge between developers and other departments
- Leading Agile software development teams to enable the company to achieve strong, significant business development plans
- Overseeing and reporting on progress of development activities to management and clients.
- Energy and creativity to identify growth opportunities and efficiency gains
