About the Role
The Front Office Operational Controller works as an integral part of the Onshore Operations Control Room Europe providing controlled safety services and support line into the field across the diverse European wind portfolio on a 16/7, 365 day a year basis.
Responsibilities
- General site safety and emergency management
- Transfer of control
- Point of contact
- Support line into field
- Work directly with technicians in the field, e.g. by restarting turbines or reenergizing HV in coordination with personnel on site.
- Support and feedback to the Front Office Performance Manager (FOPM) any ideas for development of systems and process.
- Manage work orders (create notifications for faulted turbines and update work orders to capture work done by external techs)
- Coordinate site outages, liaise between HV engineer / O&M / Grid
- Unavailability reporting
- General reporting
- Support back office
- Develop stakeholder links across the entire portfolio
Requirements:
- WTSR certification as an Operational Controller
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of key stakeholders on a variety of issues.
- Solid IT system skills as there are many bespoke software packages to achieve daily tasks.
- Understand and execute all OOCRE tasks.
- Knowledge of key policies, procedures and process management systems which might affect the operation of the wind portfolio.
- A Passion for Health and Safety and an understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards.
- Basic experience of operating High Voltage (HV) systems and knowledge of HV safety requirements.
- Solid planning and organising skills to include effective prioritisation of key activities.
- An understanding of the RWE Renewables business and how the Control Room, its systems, process, and expertise can support that business.
- Good English skills.
- Very good local language skills (CR Location).
- Language skills in German, Spanish or other languages are an asset
