The Role
Reporting directly to the FD, this is a super local opening for a qualified, part qualified or "QBE" to take responsibility for all aspects of day to day accounting with genuine scope to take on responsibility for the monthly managements accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Nominal & General ledger
- Overseeing Purchase Ledger &Sales Ledger
- Month end close
- Supporting Year End scheduling for year end audit
- Overseeing VAT Quarters, submission and reconciliation
- Cashflow management & modelling
- Involvement in the implementation upgrade to Sage 200 by November 202
- Review current practice & procedures with a view to improving and automating
- Manage yearly Stock takes at year end Feb.
- Processing monthly salaries and liaison with 3rd party payroll provider to ensure confidential and accurate processing
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified, part qualified, QBE
- N/L & General ledger knowledge
- Currency exposure would be an asset multiple currencies, but Yen, Euro and Sterling predominantly
- Mindset of continual improvement (of process and procedures)
- Keen interest in systems and automation
