Description

Property Inventory Clerks required at an independent property company, contracted to give impartial analyses of properties' contents and their condition, before new tenants move in or when existing tenants move out.


Working hours - variable according to needs of business

  • The position is based out of the office and requires someone very selfmotivated and trustworthy with impeccable time keeping. It is a physically and mentally demanding role. A large part of your working day will be spent on your own; independence and determination to get the job done are a crucial part of this position. It is also a public facing role interacting with agents, landlords, tenants and other clerks as required. You will be fully supported by a team of administrators who will plan all your journeys, provide all details

Duties include:

  • Inspecting residential properties and compiling reports.
  • Accurately recording all items within a property, and their conditions.
  • Completing reports either on a tablet using our bespoke software, on paper copy or as a dictation.
  • Amending and finalising reports issued on tablets, downloading photographs, finalising paperwork, preparing for upcoming appointments.

Role Requirements:

  • Articulate, presentable and welldressed at all times as the role is clientfacing
  • A confident communicator, both verbally and written, with good use of grammar and spelling.
  • Punctual, selfmotivated and able to think on your feet.
  • Well organised with great attention to detail, able to multitask and adapt quickly to every situation whilst remaining professional at all times.
  • IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Have a positive 'cando' attitude with the ability to remain flexible in terms of adapting your day to the needs of clients or the business, or last minute changes with public transport.
  • Self sufficient in dealing with issues and equally adept at raising issues to management as required.
  • Being available on your work phone during working hours.
  • Being professional at all times.
  • Uploading and submitting your work promptly in line with the Company's turnaround policy.
  • Preplanning your journeys and making sure you have the necessary paperwork/information beforehand, to avoid disruptions and delays during the day.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as typing reports, creating floor plans, helping with suggestions and liabilities and other ad hoc tasks.
All required equipment will be provided including tablet, work phone, dictaphone and camera. Comprehensive training is provided, which is a combination of on-the-job training, shadowing senior clerks, and desk-based training.

We realise that everyone learns differently, so the training will be a balance of theoretical and practical experience, depending on your learning style.
