    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive business development and cultivate relationships with customers around the world.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop Business Opportunities: Identify, engage, and create new sales opportunities across target markets.
    • Provide Technical Solutions: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and design solutions based on Insensys' advanced fibre optic strain, load, pressure, and vibration sensing systems.
    • Drive Sales: Build relationships with key stakeholders, present the benefits of our systems, demonstrate hardware capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure successful deals.
    • Collaborate Internally: Work with engineering, finance, and production teams to align customer requirements with Insensys' technical and commercial capabilities.
    • Report Progress: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on pipeline development.

    Required Skills:

    • Strong technical communication skills, including explaining complex issues to non-native English speakers.
    • Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences, from engineers to senior executives.
    • Commercial awareness with the ability to create and present compelling business cases.
    • Networking and research skills to identify opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
    • Proven ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships.

    Desirable Attributes:

    • Curious, creative, and highly motivated with a passion for innovation.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Willingness to travel internationally.

    Requirements:

    • A degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
    • A proven success in a similar technical sales or business development role.
    • Experience in fibre optics or sensor measurement techniques (strain, load, vibration, pressure) is advantageous.
