Junior Video Editor**GINX operates the world's largest esports tv channel (25+ million homes) as well as , the fast-growing online esports platform. We also produce content for 3rd-parties.


As one of our Junior Editors, you will be part of a bustling team responsible for all our video content.

This can take the shape of a review for a recently released video game, to a talking heads documentary about Elden Ring, to a live broadcast of a Fortnite event or a news show about the whackiest things streamers have been doing on Twitch.

We are looking for someone who possesses some solid foundations in post-production and is keen to get their hands dirty in any part of the content creation process.

A keen interest in video games and/or esports is a must


Responsibilities

  • Edit GINX productions, working across all our inhouse material. This includes live and prerecorded content for broadcast, online and socials
  • Work on outside shoots as part of the camera crew (previous camera operating experience is essential)
  • Work on live and aslive productions as part of the gallery team (vision mixing, graphics operating and sound engineering) as required (training provided)
  • Ensure that all edits are up to broadcast standard and abide by Ofcom regulations
  • Appropriate selection of audio from music libraries and the completion of cue sheets
  • Ensure that resources for productions are well organised (running orders, graphics packages, VTs etc.)
  • Aid with the ideation and creation of new content and formats
  • Occasionally appear on camera, particularly in Let's Play formats
  • Motion graphics work as and when required, usually off premade templates
  • Thumbnail creation

Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe CC software. Fluency in Premier Pro is essential, and basic skills in After Effects and Photoshop are also necessary
  • Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Communication and people skills are vital

  • Remaining calm under pressure
  • Proactivity and a positive influence on the rest of the team

Desirable

  • Experience with audio mastering/editing
  • Motion graphics experience
  • Voiceover scriptwriting experience
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail
  • Lighting set up skills/experience
  • Familiarity with Vmix and/or OBS
  • A calm and reassuring manner when working with talent and clients
  • A willingness to have fun and play games with your colleagues (We also politely request that you not be _too _good, so that its still fun for the rest of us...)

The GINX Office
Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend/evening shoots are to be expected, as well as some international travel. A willingness to be flexible when the work demands it is key. We work from home sometimes, however most of your time will be spent in our offices/studios near Kings Cross.

You will report directly to the Head of Production and assist in ad hoc responsibilities when required. Were a group of team players, and so a willingness to get stuck in and share responsibilities is essential.
