We currently have an opportunity available for
a QA to join our technical team based in
Syston, Leicester. You will join us on a full time, permanent contract, and in return will receive a
competitive salary. Core working hours are 06:00 am - 18:00 pm, 3 on 3 off. This will be an average of 42 hrs across 7 days a week

Reporting to the QA Technologist, the QA is responsible for monitoring product quality and factory compliance standards through auditing, data collection and swabbing.

To conduct product quality assessments and collate all laboratory and quality samples.

Key Accountabilities

Assist with conducting GMP, paperwork compliance audits and CCP verification checks
Conduct various audits within the bakery
Monitor process settings to ensure they are running within agreed tolerances
Collect taste panel and laboratory samples as require
Monitor the quality of raw materials and packaging being delivered to site to ensure that they are delivered to the specification required
Assisting with ensuring materials are placed on hold
Assist in investigations on customer complaints
Input of data to allow for trend analysis
Print and issue paperwork to the relevant departments
Part of the site internal audit team
Assist with the preparation and on the day management of third party audits, enforcement authority visits and customer visits.
Support all other departments as required

Applied Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Food manufacturing knowledge
Excellent IT skills (Excel and Word primarily and has the ability to learn/use other systems e.g. iAuditor)
Good data analytical skills
Knowledge and experience ofshort shelf life chilled food saftey risk

HACCP Level

Internal auditor skills (preferable but not essential)

Person Specification

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
A good relationship builder.
Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential.
