Do you love the theatre? This is a great opportunity to join a registered charity - The Royal Sutton Coldfield Community Town Hall Trust. Ideally you will already have some experience working in marketing or looking to start your marketing journey.


Supporting the Sales & Marketing Manager and existing team, you will be involved in executing marketing strategies and campaigns, aimed at promoting the venue and its array of events.

Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is a Grade A locally listed Edwardian heritage theatre, arts, and community venue. With a seating capacity of c. 400, boasting regal charm which adds a special ambience to all the events they host here.


What we need from you as a Marketing Assistant:

  • Previous
    experience in a marketing role is beneficial, particularly within the events or hospitality sector
  • Proficiency with
    social media platforms and understanding of marketing trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with using marketing software and tools, such as
    Canva and Mailchimp:
  • Ability to work flexibly if required, including some evenings and weekends.

Desirable:


  • A certification in Marketing, Business, or a related field/experience

What the role involves:


  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Contribute to the creation of promotional materials, both print and digital, and ensure brand consistency
  • Assist in managing social media platforms, ensuring consistent, engaging, and timely content is posted
  • Support the promotion of events through various channels, ensuring accurate and compelling messaging
  • Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor offerings, and demographic data to inform strategic decisions
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including managing schedules, correspondence, and organising files
  • Assist in managing databases, analysing marketing data, and compiling reports to gauge campaign effectiveness.
  • Participate in or attend events, assisting with promotional activities and interacting with attendees
  • Assist in liaising with suppliers, ensuring promotional materials are produced on time and to quality
  • Engage with customers through various channels, addressing inquiries and gathering feedback

Salary/hours:
National Minimum Wage - £10.42 per hour, age dependant. Working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
