A fantastic opportunity to work for a prestigious business based in Gloucester who are seeking to hire a Financial Controller to join their team.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Finance team, reporting into the FinanceDirector.

Offering a superb salary of £60,000 - £65,000 - depending on your experience, plus superb benefits as detailed below.


The Role as a Financial Controller:

  • Oversee timely preparation of monthly management accounts, such as: Income reconciliation and assessment, preparation / review of all balance sheet reconciliations, production of Profit & loss and Balance Sheet reports by department.
  • Provision of financial analysis and information to support the annual budget process and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Analyse financial performance and produce reports when required, to problem solve and provide a solution if required.
  • Ensure team compliance in credit control, invoicing, collections processes.
  • Ensure legal and statutory compliance are completed accurately and in line with legal timeframes.
  • Management of the statutory year end audit.
  • Develop and maintain financial process documentation.
  • Oversee the payroll and pension administration processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Skills and Attributes Required as a Financial Controller:

  • You will ideally hold some form of Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, CIMA) but will also consider qualified by experience.
  • You will be a natural leader, with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills
  • Experience of Sage.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team successfully.
  • Excellent experience in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
