Job Role

MIB is a not-for-profit organisation at the heart of the fight against uninsured driving.

This is a problem that seriously affects the lives of those involved in road accidents and costs millions of pounds every year.

We work in partnership with the Police, DVLA and Insurers to tackle uninsured driving and help people affected by this crime.

The purpose of the People Administrator role is to assist the Employee Experience Manager and the People Assistant in ensuring an effective People administration service relating to the employment lifecycle and accurate People records on all employees, providing a comprehensive HR, L&D & Recruitment administrative service.

Key Outputs

  • Monitoring the HR, recruitment and L&D mailboxes and responding to queries
  • Updating vacancy data for reporting purposes
  • Collecting right to work documentation and preparing contracts and offer letters
  • Ensuring that all necessary preemployment vetting checks are completed as part of the preboarding process
  • Support Line Managers to ensure they understand their responsibility in the onboarding and induction process
  • Assist with all Learning and Development administration including resetting of passwords and responding to queries on the L&D system
  • Ensure the leaver process is adhered to, acknowledging resignations in a timely manner and calculating any outstanding leave correctly
  • Provide regular reporting from the HR system
  • Accurately updating the HR database

Qualifications and Education

Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous experience in an HR administration role is essential
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle a busy workload
  • Proactive at all times and able to work on own initiative without supervision
  • Understanding of various HR software systems
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office such as outlook, word, excel etc
  • Understanding of HR legislation is desirable
  • Professional and confident with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to form effective relationships with people at all levels and to communicate well
  • Diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive information
Salary up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience
35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

£320 (before tax) start up allowance
