Due to continued growth we are looking for a Dispatch Team Leader to join a family run company.


About the Dispatch Team Leader role:

  • Based in Chelworth Industrial Estate, Cricklade
  • This is a fixed late shift
  • Monday to Friday, 2pm 10pm
  • Salary is 26,000 per annum, rising to £28,288 per annum after 3 months

As a Dispatch Team Leader you will be responsible for the following:

  • Order picking
  • Stock integrity
  • Location Management
  • Replenishment & Dispatch Management

Core Duties as Dispatch Team Leader will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage and work as part of the afternoon picking team and processes ensuring all orders are completed correctly on time according to procedure
  • Organise the workload for the dispatch team and Supervise Warehouse operatives
  • Resource planning to maximise efficiency and ensure operational success
  • Managing the daily work plan including organisation of daily picking requirements
  • Record staff development using individual training records
  • Communicate all resource and equipment needs to the Warehouse Manager
  • Ensure team's daily picking targets and KPI's are achieved and review individual performance against target
  • Provide detailed feedback on the team's level of performance and assistance in training, development and engagement
  • Ensuring the afternoon picking team have enough resources to complete their work adequately. All equipment requirements should be reported to the Warehouse Manager
  • Liaise with Goods-In Team Leader with any stock requirements/issues
  • Ensure all shipments are picked and dispatched each and every day whilst also picking and packing next day orders
  • Ensuring orders are picked according to Priority on the shipment page and pick slips are always printed and placed in priority pick trays
  • Ship pick lists off the internal warehouse portal
  • Hold daily meetings with the picking team to ensure everyone is aware of the daily priority and instill motivation
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed with clear and adequate information
  • Ensure the site is clean and tidy and health & safety is adhered to at all times
  • Ensuring Warehouse equipment is maintained inline with safety procedure and policy, scheduling maintenance checks of equipment

Experience required:


  • Experience of working in a fast paced, preferably warehouse or transportbased environment
  • IT competent with a good level of knowledge within MS Excel
  • A forklift licence is preferable
  • Capable of working from own initiative whilst also following process and procedure
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willing to learn & positive attitude

£26,000.00-£28,288.00 per year
