We are looking to recruit full time receptionist to provide comprehensive administrative and reception support to all areas of the service including the departments such as Chandos, Outreach and our busy Contact Centre.

You will gather sensitive information to book patients into the appropriate appointment slots whilst ensuring efficient and sensitive communication at all times.

You will help us to organise and administer activities in line with agreed service priorities.

You will need to be confident, self-motivated with excellent organisational and IT skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines whilst ensuring a high standard of service is maintained.


We expect you to be able to work under pressure with the ability to use your judgement and initiative to prioritise the urgency of particular requests within our defined guidelines.

Working for our organisation

Sexual Health Services provide services in many locations throughout Nottinghamshire. We provide a comprehensive contraception and sexual health service to a multicultural community of all ages.


Our services are highly confidential and of a very sensitive nature and therefore our staff must be able to reflect this.

You will need to work between the City Hospital Campus and Victoria Health Centre throughout the week along with Community clinics as necessary.

We work weekdays, evenings and weekends and so Saturday working on a rota is expected along with some evening clinics

Training and Qualification

Essential criteria

  • GCSE or Equivalent Grade C or above Maths and English Language
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word

  • NVQ 2 in Customer care / Administration
Experience

  • Previous reception and clerical experience
  • Experience of dealing with the general public

  • Working in the NHS

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
