Project Support Officer
  • Organisational Development
(Maternity Leave Cover 12mths Fixed Term from June May 2024**The Project Support Officer for Organisational Development (OD) will oversee, manage and deliver administration of development programmes, interventions, events and training courses, delivered as part of the Trust Leadership and Culture Strategy and OD objectives. You will have specific projects to support in line with the OD team objectives and the Leadership and Culture Strategy. You will utilise administration and IT systems to manage processes and reporting of information. With the support of other members of the admin team, you will deliver general administrative and clerical requirements to support the department, promoting a customer led service.


You will work closely and effectively with the OD Management Team and other members of the department as well as other stakeholders demonstrating a strong team working ethic and proactive and solutions focused approach at all times.

The role is being advertised as full-time, to include a mixture of home and office working.

We will however, be happy to consider less than full time hours, where this can meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job


You will provide an effective administrative service to the OD function, including business as usual and project support, working with and through a small administrative team.

You will provide effective and proactive support to a wide range of projects and meetings.


We are looking for a team player, who is prepared to continually constructively challenge the way we do things and suggest improvements.

You will be comfortable working to deadlines and demands which may sometimes conflict.


You will need to be capable of collecting, understanding and manipulating data to write reports which will support operational effectiveness.


The role will require strong planning, organisational, negotiating and analytical skills to ensure effective engagement of all parties/stakeholders and co-ordination of projects.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


Your will provide an efficient and comprehensive project and administrative support service to the OD Team, to assist in the planning and delivery of agreed project deadlines and events, with a proactive approach.

You will be comfortable gathering data (qualitative and quantitative) to support operational performance reporting and improvement.


You will use judgment and initiative to make informed decisions, planning and organising your work and that of the admin team.

As a member of the admin team, you will act as a point of contact for enquiries for projects and events from internal and external stakeholders.

You will also prepare reports, presentations and other project documents.

You will take a central role in communicating information regarding projects/work programme or activities to a range of audiences, including maintaining and updating information displayed on the Trust website,
