White Knight Recruitment are delighted to be working with a local public sector client, to find Kitchen Assistants on temporary, bank contracts.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Line Cook and Sous Chef in the kitchen. Your primary duties include stocking ingredients, slicing produce, cutting meat into portions, and cleaning the kitchen.

Other duties may include:

Washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients
Using equipment such as mixers, special knives, and cutters
Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
Checking sellby dates and rotating food stock
Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes, and pans
Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

You will be a team player and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ideally you will have worked in a similar position previously.

Please note, due to the environment you will be working in, you will be required to have a valid DBS check.
