We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual with excellent clinical audit knowledge and project management skills to work in our established Clinical Effectiveness Unit.

As one of the Clinical Effectiveness Coordinators in the Unit you will a high level of expertise in the field of clinical audit, and an understanding of how this ties into the wider quality and assurance agendas.

The role will support the Deputy Manager to provide high quality clinical audit support across the Trust and manage the Trust Clinical Audit Programme to ensure effective clinical audit processes and systems support the organisation in the delivery of safe and high quality care.


Please note this advertisement is for a permanent post but management are open to contract type, secondment will also be considered.

Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.

Working with the Clinical Effectiveness Unit Manager / Deputy and Deputy Medical Director, the post holder will;

  • Coordinate the agreement and compilation of the Annual Trust Clinical Audit Programme in collaboration with the Clinical Effectiveness Senior/Deputy Managers.
  • Support high level Trust Clinical Effectiveness initiatives in collaboration with the Clinical Effectiveness Senior/Deputy Managers and the Head of Patient and Healthcare Governance.
  • Support the effective and efficient delivery of the Trust Clinical Audit Programme, including national clinical audits and clinical audits on the Quality Accounts List, commissioned clinical audit projects and relevant Quality Objectives.
  • Contribute towards the strategic development of the CEU including policy formulation.
  • Be involved in the general management of the Unit, including line management of staff & appraisals.
  • Provide specialist support and advice on a range of Clinical Audit/Effectiveness project.
  • Contribute towards the reporting of clinical effectiveness activities to the Trust and Commissioners thus ensuring comprehensive provision of information.
  • Influence change by writing complex reports, executive summaries of project findings & producing PowerPoint presentations.
