Compliance Officer

Start:
ASAP (7 week contract)

Location:
WC1H 9BT (Hybrid working - in office on Thursdays)

Salary:
£ £20.12 p/Hour

Our client:

Our client are one of the largest universities in the world and are the UK's leading Global University.


Main purpose of the role:


Working as part of the Student Immigration Advice and Compliance service, you will join a team of compliance officers ensuring the university complies fully with its Student sponsor duties.


Main duties & responsibilities:


  • Work proactively with other members of the Student Immigration Advice and Compliance Team
  • Ensure accurate student records are maintained in line with Student visa compliance responsibilities
  • Undertake internal audits of student records, liaising with students and colleagues when further information is required
  • Ensure BRPs are handled, transported and stored securely at all times to prevent loss, theft and abuse of the immigration system
  • Ensure appropriate ID checks are carried out when issuing BRPs

Desired skills / knowledge / experience:

  • Qualifications commensurate with education to A level or equivalent, including proficiency in English and Mathematics
  • An understanding of good customer service standards
  • Previous relevant experience in a Higher Education environment
  • Knowledge of the SITS student information system
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a tactful and diplomatic approach to communication (both verbal and written) and a respect for confidentiality
