Protocol Education is looking for energetic support assistants to work within Primary Schools in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames as well as schools in Esher, Walton, Leatherhead & Dorking.

Salary range - £ per day, dependent on experience.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with diverse learning requirements.

You'll work closely with experienced educators and specialists, assisting in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for every child to thrive.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing oneonone support: Tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of individual students, helping them to grasp concepts and build essential skills.
  • Collaborating with educators and therapists: Working as part of a cohesive team to develop personalized learning plans and ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Encouraging communication and social skills: Facilitating interactions between students, fostering confidence, and building friendships.
  • Celebrating progress: Witnessing the growth and achievements of your students and sharing in their successes.
  • What we're looking for:
  • A calm and compassionate approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team member.
  • A passion for working with children and making a real impact on their lives.
  • Some experience of supporting children is necessary. Any experience in schools, with children, with SEN, as a graduate, a youth mentor, sports coach or anything else similar is preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
