Description
As a Financial Analysis Associate in the Global Real Estate team, you will partner with multiple stakeholders and be responsible for expense modelling, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial analysis and reporting to assist with strategic direction and decision making.
As a Financial Analysis Associate in the Global Real Estate team, you will be responsible for strategic financial reporting and analysis and advising Chief Financial Office (CFOs) on how to control expenses and increase efficiencies.
Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting.
Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial modelling, controls, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g.
dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.Responsibilities:
- Completing Transaction Funding Financial Analysis for business cases supporting business initiatives by evaluating prospective real estate initiatives involving ownership/leasing, capital investment and occupancy strategies associated with JPMC's corporate real estate portfolio. Perform thoughtful due diligence and underwriting of real estate transactions and ensure compliance to US GAAP and JPMC accounting policies (incl. balance sheet, income statement, cash view).
- Financial budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Supporting the process to deliver monthend results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
- Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and presenting commentary to FP&A managers and line of business CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets.
- Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant years of work experience in accounting/controller background
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial modelling and forecasting; strong analytical and problemsolving skills with ability to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and comfortably with different levels of seniority across the organisation, including senior stakeholders
- Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams. Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Work experience in Financial Services and/or Real Estate finance preferred
- Experience with financial systems preferred (EssBase, SAP)
- Ability to critically challenge when appropriate with the goal of progressing delivery, resolving issues aiding decision making
