Role Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager - Motor to join our specialist team supporting various lines of business. Consilium is a specialist wholesale Lloyd's of London broker and is part of the Aventum family.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Assists our motor division in serving existing client renewals and winning new business, through monitoring and inviting renewals; collection, review and assembly of market submissions; setting up electronic files; reviewing and preparing draft policy wordings(with technical input from an inteam lawyer), issuing evidence of cover and certificates.
  • Prepare suitable quotation and placement documents (MRCs) and client renewal summaries
  • Resolves accounting and insurance tax discrepancies
  • Liaise with appropriate third parties such as Xchanging and PPL to resolve queries.
  • Exhibits competent coverage knowledge and policychecking skills.
  • Exhibits competent technical London market reform contract, bureau and tax requirements knowledge.
  • Prepares Premium/Loss Analysis.

Skills and Experience:


  • Having around 12 years of insurance experience working for a brokerage.
  • Ideally having experience in Motor Insurance.
  • Insurance qualifications e.g. CII (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of London Market processes and terminology.
  • High computer literacy and intermediate use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to multitask, manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressure
  • Able to build trust by operating with integrity and professionalism
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and work
  • Selfmotivated and enthusiastic
  • Professional approach to relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear aptitude for teamwork, planning, and organising
