The role:
As the Technical Lead, your technical knowledge must be on point. From system architecture, development standards, computer science and a love of coding is a must.
In addition to this, is your management skills, with planning, decision making and ability to lead a team of developers.
We want to bring excellence to the team and this best done through leading by example.Therefore your
skills and experiences should cover:
- 5 years + as part of a development team
- 2 year + as senior developer or lead role
- Strong communication skills
- ASP.NET, C#, Ajax, Javascript, ORM, MVC, API's, Angular,.NETCore
- Microservices, Kubernetes, Azure App/ Services
- Firm grasp of Agile methodology
- Fanatical about coding standards, code reviews and security principles
- SQL Server & Mongo DB
- DevOps, SourceControl, Azure Services
- CMS experience (Sitecore, Sitefinity, Umbraco, Kentico or any.
- Ability to multitask, ambition, team lead, always looking for free pens, drawn to shiny things, love comfortable chairs, and stare at people with a blank expression when something non logical is said
The position requires:
A lead or senior backend software engineer who takes pride in their work and building great software.
Working with the existing team you will establish yourself as a leader by example to include:
- Coding directly within the team. You will have the ability to set coding standards and processes within the team.
- Supporting the Engineering team with development tasks including pair programming, solution finding and code reviews.
- Technical writing, planning and scoping.
- Support the business expectation throughout the project's delivery and escalating risk to project managers.
- Recognise when that design isn't appropriate for the task at hand and raise as risks to the project's timelines
- Mentor and support individuals technical abilities within the team
- Supporting the team in architecting our larger builds, ensuring they scoped and estimated correctly, secure, stable and robust.
- Ensuring that we are using the right tools and people on a project for the task at hand, eliminating risk surrounding over engineering a solution.
- Working directly within the engineering team taking ownership of a project and leading the project till the team is self sufficient or fulfilled.
- To have commercial awareness of project delivery process and managing stakeholder and project manager expectations.
