Charity Overview
Founded in 1999 the Forget-Me-Not Club provides invaluable support to those living with and caring for people with dementia.


The Charity is led by the General Manager with a Team Leader supporting the small team of full and part-time staff underpinned by a large team of very enthusiastic volunteers on a daily basis, overseen by a board of Trustees in accordance with its constitution providing a host of activities in Banchory and throughout the Deeside area.


Just as importantly as providing activities for people with dementia, Forget-Me-Not also advises and educates carers on the complexities of the disease.

Providing information and knowledge of things that can be done to help, from coping strategies to financial and other resources available, allowing clients to stay in their own homes for longer.


The Forget-Me-Not Club currently provides around 500 hours of non-chargeable care per week to a wide range of clients from across Aberdeen city & Aberdeenshire.


  • The charity has gone from strength to strength in recent years and we are looking for a highly enthusiastic, professional & motivated fundraising & Events coordinator to plan, organise and deliver our charitable events throughout the year that are required to support the charity continue to grow, be involved in the Strategic development of the charity and provide a menu for fundraising events whilst developing a fundraising strategy.
  • Support outreach into the community to foster an increasingly Dementia friendly community in the area.
  • Ideally degree qualified within a complementary discipline.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, ability to work on own initiative is a must.
  • Excellent IT skills required.
  • Desirable digital social media experience.
  • A highlevel of passion and interest in helping others,

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff will be provided with PPE as required, hands must be washed upon arrival. staff will be updated as guidance changes.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Banchory AB31: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

Event Management: 2 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
- driving license and access to a car (required)
