Key aims and objectives:


  • The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and executing electrical planned, corrective and safety critical work in accordance with plan to ensure equipment integrity and availability. This is done in accordance with legislative requirements, company health, safety, environmental, integrity and other relevant standards.

Role Requirements:


  • Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
  • Commit to incident free operations and actively promote within your team commitment to Incident Free.
  • Where appropriate, position to provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation and response to major accidents.
  • Commit to Worley Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the role.
  • Responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of installation power distribution system.
  • Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
  • Ensure necessary preparation for relevant scheduled activities.
  • Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines and maintain quality records.
  • Ensure competent in the electrical safety procedures and to be certified as Responsible Electrical Person.
  • Lead, supervise on site and actively support the electrical technicians and vendors to ensure that the maintenance work is executed in a safe, efficient and timely manner giving due regard to quality of work done.
  • Ensure that the underlying causes of failures are understood, and that action is taken to avoid repeat failures.
  • Delegate work to subordinates and manage their workload and output.
  • Coach and develop direct reports personally and professionally.
  • Carry out appraisals and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Prioritise and set objectives of direct reports.
  • Bring defects in practices, equipment, tools, protective clothing to the attention of relevant staff.
  • Liaise with projects, vendors and OEMs so as to maintain maintenance plans and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate maintenance records and ensure that the data is entered into the appropriate information management systems.
  • Raise relevant work permits in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant details in accordance with procedures.
  • Ensure that high quality standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Ensure that adequate stocks of equipment and materials are maintained.
  • Encourage good, open communication promoting involvement and participation.

Person Spec:

  • 4 year apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 equivalent


  • AM

  • Worley mandatory training, induction, RA, etc.
  • City and Guilds in mechanical engineering/fitting and assembly or NVQ level 3 in associated trade
  • COMPEX
  • CCNSG Safety passport
  • Ability to supervise work activities
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of understanding of HSSE safe working practises, procedures and their implementation
  • Ability to supervise efficient use of resources
  • Ability to maintain record keeping systems
  • Safe working commitment to safe working practices ensuring that all workscopes are completed in a safe manner at all times.
  • Ability to deliver quality "toolbox talks"
