Role:

The organisation you will be joining are on a fast-paced journey and in recent years has gone through significant technical & business change.

They have now set the foundations of a modern data architecture within the Cloud utilising Microsoft Azure.
My client is now looking to add skilled and enthusiastic data engineers to support the on-going innovation and development. In this position, you will be playing a vital part in shaping the future of the platform and the data engineering competency

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate and work closely with business users & product owner to translate user stories into technical delivery.
Work across a suite of Azure services withing the Data Platform.
Build scalable and costefficient solutions using Azure data technologies, adhering to best practices and agile processes to the highest possible standards.
Keep up to date with evolving technologies and the latest industry trends.
Ensure that the data platform adheres to data governance & compliance policies.
Support of operational processes and end users, implementing monitoring and alerting practices to ensure service reliability.

Requirements:

An understanding of Azure as a data platform & data storage technology.
Knowledge of big data concepts and design practices.
Data Engineering development experience.
Excellent SQL skills at both a functional and nonfunctional level.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of Agile working methodologies.
Use of a branchbased source control.
