We are currently recruiting for a
Finance Business Partner within a large organisation.

The role is a long term ongoing temporary position; however, the size of this organisation means that this temporary role is very likely to open thedoor to permanent opportunities and a range of fantastic benefits.

The role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis Team based in Swindon. You will provide in depth financial analysis & modelling to support financial decision making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret financial data from a range of sources and build detailed financial models.
Understanding financial risk, translate strategic priorities into long term financial plans.
Work with finance colleagues across the business to model the financial impacts of business decision making on financial plans.
Building financial models to support major financial decisions including translating the organisations strategy & priorities into setting budgets and creating long term financial plans.
Utilise analytical skills to aid financial decision making on assets & infrastructure projects.
Collect external data to carry out benchmarking and make recommendations to improve performance.
Analyse financial data and trends in order to provide insight to senior management to understand the financial performance and influence decision making.

Person Specification:

Full or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) is desirable but not essential, or equivalent experience (QBE).
Experience in working in financial & data analysis roles in complex organisations.
A good working knowledge of

Microsoft Office:
Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, etc), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams (essential).

Previous experience of Oracle &/or other accounting systems (desirable).
Understanding & experience of working with public sector finance & governance frameworks.
Strong numerical, analytical & critical thinking & problemsolving skills, with ability to distil complex & often incomplete management information into the key elements required to deliver projects & influence decision making at a strategic level.
