We are currently looking for a
Training Officer based at our Blaenavon site.

40 hours per week Monday - Thursday

This is a permanent role supporting the Afternoon and Night Shift providing training via SOP's and working instruction. Reporting into the Senior Training Officer and HR Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare working procedures SOPs for production, hygiene and warehouse
  • Training of all production, warehouse and hygiene staff; safe systems of work, SOP's and working instructions
  • Create associated training matrices in need with business requirements
  • Assess training needs for new and existing employees
  • Prepare update and record all training within the business
  • Identify internal and external training programs
  • Provide training feedback to production management
  • Sign off completion of training for salary changes via payroll
  • Booking rooms internally and external venues for training activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and programmes
  • Job Fayres and recruitment days
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining records in relation to PPE, Locker keys, access cards
  • Complete onboarding and induction process for new employees including providing PPE, access card, locker keys, shoes.
  • Meet and greet visitors including auditors
  • Responsible for visitor and contractor passes
  • Comply with and promote company Health & Safety
  • Support with onsite audits; provide training records as required
  • Any other tasks as required by the HSE/HR Team as and when required; new starter packs, right to work checks, file audits etc.

Person Specification & Requirements:


  • Experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment is essential
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Good IT skills; Word, Excel and Power Point software
  • Good literacy & numeracy skills
  • Constant drive, enthusiasm and selfmotivation with ability to motivate others
  • Committed, disciplined and well organised
  • Ability to work effective when under pressure and in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Effective organisational skills
  • Team working skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£24,500.00-£25,500.00 per year
