LJA Miers a family owned manufacturing business in St Neots, looking for a full time leader who enjoys the cut and thrust of running a busy warehouse to service our production lines and provide first class customer service.

Job Summary
Supervise the Warehouse Team to provide a safe and agile operation.

Responsible for the timely and accurate recipt and put away of items and equally the accurate despatch of products to ensure on time in full delivery.

Develop, implement & manage processes that ensure the highest levels of inventory & WIP accuracy.


Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the relevant Warehouse EHS procedures and systems are developed, implemented and managed within the team.
  • Supervise and ensure the accurate labelling and put away of goods received, including updating stock data on the system. Notify Purchasing of any discrepancies.
  • Allocate work to the team for accurate order picking of customer requirements or raw materials to the production line. Process as per customer dispatch requirements, meeting delivery dates.
  • Organise and manage transport to ensure the most costeffective delivery arrangements are made.
  • Ensure the active management of inventory and WIP to ensure 100% stock accuracy. Carry out regular stock takes to maintain accuracy of stocks in bin locations. Including annual stock take in accordance with the requirements of the company and auditors.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to develop, implement and manage Departmental targets and KPI's.
  • Motivate and train staff to ensure the safe, timely and accurate movement of stock. Actively encourage and promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, decrease costs and provide a collaborative working environment.
  • Be responsible for the welfare, training and development of staff to meet business needs
  • Strive to create solid, collaborative working relationship with all departments, contributing to developing a culture of 'right first time'.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
