Salary & Grade:
Grade 6 SCP FTE salary £24,496 - £26,845) Actual salary £20,896 - £22,900


Hours: 37 hours per week Term time only plus 2 inset days Permanent


The position is based in Newstead Academy but will also involve the administration relating to our satellite provision in Cudworth and providing support to our wider SEND team.

Newstead Academy is a purpose built independent unit for children in KS2.

It will provide an environment, which will empower pupils to make progress providing the support required to develop according to their personal needs as identified in their Education Health and Care Plan.


You should be highly organised and a confident communicator who is capable of dealing with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Have the drive, passion and motivation to work hard in providing an excellent service for the Trust and its stakeholders
  • Be highly organised and a confident communicator
  • Have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft packages
  • Thrive in a busy environment supporting across a number of areas showing resilience and exceptional team working ability
  • Have experience of working within an office environment ideally with some school/Trust/SEND experience
  • Have the ability to build positive relationships with all staff throughout the Trust and other professionals including Barnsley's EHC Team
  • Be adaptive in an everchanging environment
  • Be committed to inclusion
  • Be prepared to develop a deep understanding of the administration processes related to SEND
  • Be sensitive and fully able to maintain confidentiality
