Description

Principal EngineerPosition Overview

  • Responsible for preparation of project plans, implementing site surveys, coordinating and supervising the design teams.
  • Report preparation, allocation of resources and budget control.
  • Earthwork, foundation and drainage designs
  • Temporary works designs for plant access
  • Project completion to specific requirements and in accordance with HSQE procedures.
  • Liaising with clients and external consultants
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements

Principal EngineerPosition Requirements

  • A Degree and Masters / MEng in a Geotechnical / Civil Engineering discipline
  • Chartered Engineer
  • Experience in geotechnical design calculations and design reports for rail projects
  • Strong geotechnical design/analytical capability in relation to slope stability, retaining walls, pile design, anchors, soil nails, foundations, drainage.
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice
  • Good knowledge of (Slope/W, WALLAP, REPUTE, TEDDS, AutoCAD)
  • Good technical report writing skills

  • Salary DOE
