About Our Client:


My client is a large Education Organisation based near central Nottingham, commutable from wider Nottinghamshire and accessible with good transport links nearby.

Due to an exciting period of growth, they are able to onboard someone for a fixed term period of 12 months, this would be a great opportunity for someone looking to gain more exposure in a busy finance function in a varied accounting role.

The Finance Officer will report directly to the Management Accountant, duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Financial and Management Accounting such as ledger processing, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Providing support to the Management Accountant with preparation of reports and investigation of queries
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assist with the production of VAT return and reconciliation

The Successful Applicant:


  • Be an AAT studier (or have equivalent experience)
  • Have a good understanding of general accounting principles
  • Have experience working in a busy finance function
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Have a strong attention to detail
  • Be an excellent communicator both written and verbal
