Working within our Accounts Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outstanding payments are followed up, collected, and allocated in a timely manner and that due protocol is followed.
Key Responsibilities
Following up on missed rental payments through systematic communications
Managing monthly rent arrears reports which are circulated to relevant parties
Keeping internal stakeholders up to date with case progression
Allocating payments as appropriate
Working closely with our Client Accounts Team in mutual support
Offering advice to other departments in respect of arrears recovery or issues of compliance
Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting rental payments using pro-active collection techniques.
Adhere to all credit control processes and develop where necessary
Manage queries to resolution through investigation, reconciliation and escalation
Hold regular meetings with property managers to review portfolio arrears
Assist Accounts team with allocation of monies and maintenance of accounts
Respond to relevant client enquiries
Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity
Maintain mailboxes and ensure all queries cleared
Act as liaison with third party solicitors
Setting up new supplier accounts
Posting invoices for payment on internal software system
Bank Reconciliations
Setting up Supplier Payments
Dealing with manual invoices and payments
Maintain supplier details on the system
Managing and resolving supplier queries
Key Skills and Experience
Credit control experience preferred ideally within the property sector, or comparable account management experience
Good numeracy and proficient with Microsoft Excel
Proven customer service skills
Personable with a diplomatic and confident phone manner
Assertive and highly motivated
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Strong communication and negotiation skills
IT literate
Property knowledge would be advantageous

£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
