Job Title:
Payroll Assistant


Salary:
£25,000 to £28,000 per annum

Location:
Near Hitchin - Hybrid available

Contract:
Permanent

Hours:
Full time, Monday to Friday , 1 hour lunch

COMPANY PROFILE


If you have worked in payroll previously or completed an AAT and have used SAGE LINE 50 but are now looking for a more varied role this opportunity would suit you perfectly.

Training will be provided however SAGE experience/ knowledge is essential.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Practice experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of processing timesheets and raising invoices using Sage line 50
  • You will be able to work well under pressure
  • You will be a clear communicator who enjoys providing a high level of client service
  • Friendly and confident personality

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the wider team with weekly, monthly and year end PAYE processes
  • Manage bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
  • Indicate any missing workers on each payroll and chase the client for hours
  • Handle autoenrolment pension for new and existing workers
  • Manage staff expenses through payroll or reimbursement
  • Keeping in regular contact with clients ensuring deadlines are met
  • Use SAGE LINE 50 for payroll purposes
