About The Role:


As a
Business Change Lead - People, you will be responsible for ensuring that any new change initiatives meet their objectives through colleagues engagement & adoption.

Your main focus will be to ensure that any change is designed with our colleagues in mind.

Our colleagues are the key to unlocking the benefits of new ways of working and new capabilities, your role is to ensure they know how to do this through Comms, Engagement, Training and Support networks.


You will also work closely with the Business Sponsors and the Business Analysts to fully understand the impact of any change on colleagues, implementing a change plan that mitigates risks and ensures change is sustained once it has been delivered.


What you will do:


  • Work with the Business Sponsor & Business Analyst to assess the impact of the change on colleagues
  • Work with the Business Analyst to assess the Capacity and Capability of the function receiving the change, do we have the right skills and do we have the time to adopt the new ways of working? If we have gaps provide plan of how to address
  • Work with the relevant HRBP's on the plan to address any gaps in resource and any Org design impacts
  • Create a compelling story for the change using creative initiatives such as story boards, animations and videos
  • Work with the Matalan Comms lead to ensure these stories reach the right audiences in the right way, land with impact and engagement is monitored & reviewed. Keeping the comms relevant throughout the project

About You:


  • Able to work independently and selfmanage and also work as part of a team
  • Able to create & deliver your agenda across multiple projects with multiple stakeholders
  • An influencer with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate and persuade at all levels to achieve a successful outcome
  • Effective Facilitation & Presentation skills
  • Strong Communication skills listening/ questioning/ written & verbal
  • Ability to engage an audience/ team and take them on a journey with the change
