WE ARE HIRING

Merchandiser

The Merchandiser will successfully work with our key partners to provide POS materials, events, product demonstrations and/or training, in store or on site.

They will develop company relationships and profitable business through optimising sales orders, distribution and display of products in a broad range of customer outlets as defined by the Customer Engagement Manager.

They will offer site support and assistance as and when required.

Key responsibilities:

Ensures that product displays are well and safely presented and meet both company and customer standards.
Organises and ensures installation timescales are met.
Maintains and develops relationships with installation clients.
Remains flexible to travelling nationally and having periods away from home including overnight stays to maximise efficiencies.
Foresees any issues prior and during installation and recommends solutions.
Prioritises and reprioritises to meet the needs of the business.
Contributes to a positive environment and being a team player
Supports customer open days with product demonstrations.
Adapts at working with others and managing projects simultaneously.
Understands safety responsibilities as well as environmental laws by following established procedures, policies, and training provided.
Proactively responds to simple complaints or inquiries from customers.
Ensures that events are properly equipped and executed by transporting, setting up and breaking down displays and returning all company assets and equipment to designated storages in compliance with event standards and instructions.
Maintains company vehicle and all equipment to the highest standard.
Provides regular reporting to the Merchandising Manager.
Takes stock ownership for all merchandising stock items including stock take, maintenance of allocated stock areas, booking out, general care.

You will need:

Proven experience in a similar role.
To ideally have experience in the Construction industry.
To have shop fitting (or similar) experience. Must be competent with assembly and installation of heavyduty racking/ shelving systems, using power tools, heavy lifting etc.
To be able to read and understand simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
To have strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
To have full flexibility and be comfortable working remotely away from home.
To hold a UK Driving License.
To hold a FLT license (counterbalance)
