The West Suffolk Alliance brings together the NHS, local government and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to work in partnership to improve the health of people in West Suffolk.

To enable this purpose SNEE Integrated Care Board has devolved primary care commissioning responsibilities to 3 place based alliances.

The Alliance is looking to recruit a Head of Primary Care to lead the commissioning of primary medical care in West Suffolk.

The post holder will be supported by the Alliance Director, the Associate Medical Director and the multi-disciplinary team in West Suffolk Alliance.

The postholder will manage the West Suffolk primary care team, working closely with equivalent teams in the other 2 alliances in SNEE.

Key relationships include GP practices, PCN Clinical Directors, Suffolk GP Federation, NHS England, Healthwatch and Suffolk LMC.

The post requires experience of primary care commissioning, staff management, change management and knowledge of GP Practice services.

The post is based at West Suffolk House Bury St Edmunds, with travel routinely within West Suffolk and the wider area.
