Description

The background

Friends of ANCHOR funds additional support for people with cancer or haematological illnesses, including wellbeing initiatives, research and clinical equipment.

The charity's staff team and support are both set to grow significantly, due to the impending opening of The ANCHOR Centre, a new outpatient care facility that will house all treatment services for oncology and haematology patients.

Stewarded by a committee and board of trustees, Friends of ANCHOR functions as a small team of 8 core staff, comprising an office-based fundraising team and a hospital-based wellbeing team.

Several further posts within the ANCHOR Unit are funded by the charity.
