ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, commercially driven Purchasing team. Due to our record breaking growth and challenging new projects we need to join us.

As a Senior Buyer you will collaborate with the Purchase Commodity Leader to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.


This function is responsible for securing sustainable and cost efficient supply chains, managing supplier performance, risk management and ownership of the planning and delivery of all Bentley new production models, aftersales parts as well as suppliers for our internal infrastructure.


MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering high quality, value for money, on time parts into our factory
  • Implementing commodity strategy to nominate the right suppliers for Bentley Motors
  • Managing a range of key spend categories within our 5 commodity teams; Metals, Exterior, Interior, Connectivity, Powertrain & Aftermarket
  • Driving commercial discipline into the business through cross functional teamwork
  • Working on synergy topics with VW Group Colleagues
  • Delivering against key measures of success including negotiating cost and improving supplier performance
  • Ensuring compliance to the procurement process and recommending improvements to processes and ways of working to maximise efficiencies
  • Working on future concepts, Sustainability, Innovation & Software Projects

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of supplier management including supplier selection, negotiation and supplier performance
  • Experience of delivering against key metrics and critical timelines
  • Ability to communicate, influence and present with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Delivery focussed with a collaborative approach towards internal stakeholders, supply partners and global VW Group colleagues
  • Being adaptable, quick thinking and with a methodical approach to problem solving
