International Trade Services Adviser


Salary:
£22,000 to £24,500 per annum


Based at:
Nottingham, Chesterfield or Leicester with agile working

Contract:
Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)


1. WHY THE POST EXISTS


The range of International Trade services provided by the Chamber has developed in recent years which has created new business opportunities.

The post-holder will become an accredited adviser (full training included) providing cover across one or more International Trade services such as Export Documentation, Customs Declarations and ATA Carnets.


The post-holder will need to be adaptable, able to learn through on-the-job training and formal qualification routes, contribute positively and professionally to the service and be a great team player.


2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Working closely with International Trade Services and Customs Advisers, the postholder (once trained) will complete import and export documentation, customs entries and/or ATA Carnets on behalf of our customers.


After initially focusing on gaining a broad understanding of the department, its function and the wider company, the postholder will be enrolled in an extensive internal and external training programme.

On successful certification the post-holder will become authorised to complete documentation in their own name.

  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
