Quotient's operations are based in Eysins/Switzerland, Edinburgh/Scotland and Chicago/Illinois

Quotient are recruiting for a Contracts Lead to join our Engineering, Facilities and Validation team (E, F & V).

The purpose of this role is to negotiate, schedule and lead all E, F & V contracts for Quotient on the UK Site.

This includes coordinating and communicating preventive and on-going maintenance, testing programs, scheduled repairs, coordinating shutdowns and installations and adhering to the Validation Master Schedule in conjunction with the Planning Department.

This role is based at our site near Penicuik (EH26 0BF) and is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.


The main responsibilities will include:


  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and approved suppliers, ensuring the requirements of the business are fully and accurately captured.
  • Contract lifecycle management, managing contracts and change orders, including active negotiation of amendments, new terms and budgets.
  • Measure's supplier performance utilizing Scorecard/Metric activities, communicates feedback to the supplier, encouraging adaptation on best practices across supplier types and development of continuous process improvements/ maintenance.
  • Support the CAPEX process for significant equipment purchases.
  • Responsible for coordinating all upstream reporting and routine forecasting requirements for the Supply Chain department, using your influence to propose recommendations to the business on how to increase speed within the E,F & V Dept while minimizing cost and reducing errors.
  • Acts as main contact for contractor site visits/repairs.
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and appropriate regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree level in applicable sector or demonstratable experience in Engineering/Validation.
  • Procurement experience advantageous with proven results in purchasing/sourcing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, reporting, and presenting skills.
  • Strategic, continuous improvement and cost effective mindset.
  • Experience in life science manufacturing industry advantageous.
