JOB SPECIFICATION
Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant - Based in Swindon

This is an extremely busy, very challenging, stimulating, and exciting role with opportunities to learn and expand one's knowledge.


As an accounts assistant you should be self-motivated, be able to manage own workload as well as being able to work under pressure.

Be efficient and have the communication skills to deal with various professional organisations.


Must have accounts experience, a full working knowledge of Sage 50 an eye for detail and a willingness to learn.

Dealing directly with commercial tenants, utility companies and district councils will be essential.


As an Accounts Assistant, you should have knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Posting weekly sales to the system
  • Company Cash/Petty Cash reconciliations
  • Reconcile deposit accounts
This role would suit someone ready to take the next step into learning a more varied role.


Profile

  • Communication at a professional level is fundamental
  • MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills will be essential
  • An approach to duties in a methodical manner to achieve deadlines
  • Be a strong team player
  • Payroll and CIS knowledge would be an advantage, but training will be given.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours - 8.30am - 4.30pm with 1⁄2 hour for lunch

Office based role


Salary:
Negotiable on experience


Pay:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
