Mobile HGV Trailer Mechanic

Salary:
£45,000 to £55,000 Per Annum DOE

Location: 40 mile radius of Northamptonshire

Mobile HGV Trailer Mechanics also required in the Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire areas.

To qualify for this role you will be required to have a confident understanding of:

Excellent knowledge of trucks and trailers.
All aspects of trailers including ABS/EBS/Diagnostics etc.
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
IRTEC Registered preferred.
HGV License preferred not essential.
Working independently and using own initiative.
Efficient time management

Key Responsibilities:

You will be expected to cover roadside repairs, services and breakdowns.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues.
Use power tools for cutting, welding, and drilling.
Perform heavy lifting when required.
Diagnosing vehicle defects.
Accurate completion of documentation and worksheets/job cards

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings
Flexible morning starts

Benefits:

20 days holiday plus all bank holidays
After 2 years of service (1 day additional holiday and up to an extra 5 days after 7 years)
Fully equipped company van and fuel card provided
Company laptop and phone provided
Over 40 hours paid at time and a half (including Saturdays)
