The Business & Opportunity:

Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Trainee Accountant to join a fast-paced business operating within the e-commerce / retail & trade sectors.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the control of the financial ledgers.

As the business continues to grow, your role will develop where you will continue to add value to the direction of the business.

This role would suit someone looking to widen their experience and exposure to all aspects of a growing business and to be able to play a part in the development of information across all departments.

Specific Requirement:

With a solid understanding of Financial accounting controls, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the ledgers, underpinning the management information that is produced.

Key responsibilities will be

• Bank postings and reconciliations for multi currency
• Control Account reconciliations
• Fixed Asset register management
• Payment Runs
• Reconciliation and analysis of both the Balance Sheet and selective Profit & Loss accounts.

Alongside these core duties, there will be ample opportunity for involvement in both the Management accounting and provision of information to the wider business.

Skills & Experience required:

This role would ideally suit someone who has trained on the financial aspects of accountancy and is now looking to broaden both their experience and their involvement in a fast paced, growing, friendly family business.

You will be working your way towards an accounting qualification, have experience of using Sage 200 (beneficial but not essential) and have a good knowledge of Excel (vlookups/pivots/sumifs etc).

You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be a confident communicator.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
