Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Normanby Hall Country Park.

The apprentice will be trained to undertake grounds duties throughout the park and gardens.

This will include grass cutting, weeding, watering, hedge trimming, pruning as well as all aspects of plant propagation to ensure seasonal planting is completed, using specialist techniques where necessary.

The apprentice will also be trained to assist with managing the deer herd and planning woodland areas including tree safety work, coppicing and planting new areas/replanting to maintain a diverse woodland structure.


The apprentice will be trained to assist with the planning and implementation of the events programme and carry out regular patrols to ensure routine safety checks are carried out.


  • You must hold English and Maths GCSE A-C or 4+ or working towards
  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management
  • Basic IT skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Team working
  • Commitment to complete an Apprenticeship
  • Ability to attend training.
You will gain a Level 2 -Horticulture/Landscape Operative Qualification.
