JOB TITLE:
SHUTDOWN PLANNER


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Creating and managing a suitably detailed shutdown plan and Schedule from worklist, highlighting risks in schedules and provide mitigating action, identifying critical path activities and manpower requirements.
  • Maintaining a POB histogram for all shutdown activities.
  • In conjunction with the Asset Planner, the Shutdown and Asset plans and POB profiles are aligned throughout the year, and that key pre and post shutdown activities are correctly reflected in the asset plans
  • Any work scope clashes, growth, opportunities or optimisations are identified and communicated to the Shutdown Team for resolution or action as required.
  • Along with shutdown coordinator, identifying and communicating any SIMOP activities within the shutdown plan.
  • Cooperate with offshore and onshore disciplines to optimise planning of activities.
  • Interact with the client to provide schedule updates as well as explain the current situation / challenges /opportunities.
  • Chairing planning meetings to discuss current and upcoming shutdown activities, discussing planning issues and updating the project plan accordingly.
  • Liaise with the shutdown team, onshore and offshore to resolve planning issues.
  • Ensure that all services and deliverables conform to company, client and project plan, policies, requirements, and standards.
  • Be able to translate specified deliverables into a clear schedule of activities to ensure agreed business targets and scopes are met.
  • Chair meetings with project team to allow interfacing between the various disciplines and to ensure all disciplines maintain an awareness of progress and/or difficulties in other areas which may affect their work requirements. Thus, allowing potential problems to be identified and resolved before causing projectoperation delays.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Bachelor's Degree / Equivalent in Engineering.
  • Proven years of relevant experience in project management or planning/forecasting/master scheduling.
  • Experience from a relevant field/ discipline, Oil and Gas Projects (Ideally FPSO business).
  • Extensive knowledge of the planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and CMMS systems such as Maximo.
  • Strong Leadership and great interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to and deal with change while delivering to fixed deadlines.
