Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Rail & Infrastructure business based in the Southern Region.

This role is a client-facing position that is integral to KPI's ongoing growth strategy.


In this sales role, you will be given the autonomy to grow your network of prospects and sales pipeline within your assigned region with the added support of an experienced operational team.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Building a strong sales pipeline of potential clients across the Rail & Infrastructure sector
  • Identifying decisionmakers and qualifying leads gained from your network and the wider business
  • Actively promoting KPI Rail & Infrastructure through social and personal networks, also through existing clients
  • Work with Marketing to implement the sales marketing strategy
  • Lead clientfacing sales meetings, providing presentation material where appropriate
  • Keep all sales activity up to date on the Aspire database
  • Build and maintain an understanding of recruitment within the sector
  • Liaise with the operation ensuring a smooth and professional handover of new business wins
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with clients in line with the company rate schedule

  • Ability to build rapport quickly within both a telephone and facetoface environment
  • Tenacity to see the sales cycle through to fruition
  • Motivated to succeed
  • A great team player
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management
  • Driving Licence required


This is a sales-focused role and experience within the Rail, Construction or Infrastructure sector would be preferred but not essential.

It is important that you will be able to build solid and long-lasting partnerships with your clients and ensure thatpromises can be delivered in line with the KPI ethos.

Strong communication skills are essential.
