Job Description:
We're looking for an Associate EIA Director to join our Environment & Sustainability business that has over 650 staff working across the UK.
Ideally, you would be based in our offices in Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow, but there are opportunities in our other offices across the country.

You'll be providing environmental inputs across all project lifecycles, from early strategy development, through feasibility, optioneering/ option selection, outline design, to detailed design, discharging of consents, construction and scheme operation/ maintenance.
Your role will include:
- Leading, managing and coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs across a range of marine projects, with a focus on the management of EIAs in support of gaining development consent
- Managing the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements, including the technical review of specialist chapters
- Liaising with clients and internal supply teams
- Working collaboratively with design teams to ensure environmental considerations are appropriately taken into account as well as developing sustainable initiatives
- Working in partnership with other members of the wider business
- Managing resources, delegating activities, monitoring and managing project budgets (with support as applicable)
- Leading and supporting business opportunities and associated fee and technical proposal development
- Promoting AECOM's environmental services to both internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
- An excellent understanding of the EIA processes (including screening and scoping), environmental assessment methods and applicable planning legislation
- A detailed understanding relevant marine consenting and licensing regimes
- Confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating inputs from a specialist technical teams
- Excellent verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing
- Project management skills, including programming, staff resource management, and budget management
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant environmental discipline and an appropriate professional membership
- CEnv qualification
