Our delightful, sociable, and out-going 26-year-old client with Cerebral Palsy is looking for a Care Team Leader.

Y loves spending time with her close-knit family as well as arts & crafts, baking and also enjoys "pamper" days at home getting her nails painted, she likes shopping, swimming and going out for the day, perhaps for a picnic if the weather is good.

Y also enjoys watching films and TV and playing games appropriate to her level of communication and ability. If you think you might be a good fit we'd love to hear from you.


The Role/Client:

Our client has Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user and hoist dependent. Y is non-verbal and uses Eye gaze, she uses an accent assisted communication device to communicate with her team.

She has a gastrostomy which is used for administration of medication and fluid flushes and eats a blended diet orally.


Y is looking for an experienced Care Team Leader who will provide hands on support, sometimes working with another Carer.

You will provide assistance with all areas of daily living including personal care, implement her therapy programmes and organising activities and trips.

You will manage her team of Carers and be responsible for rota and appointment management, supervisions, organising training, carrying out spot checks and audits and liaison with her therapists.

The role includes dedicated "hands off" time (10 hours a week) for any admin/team management tasks.


About You:


  • You will ideally have experience in a senior/Team Leader role as well as sound Carer/Support Worker experience and must have the confidence to manage a team and delegate tasks. You need to be a caring, friendly, reliable, proactive and a great communicator with a positive outlook.
  • Full training will be provided and you will be supported by a Case Manager and the wider team.
  • You will be a driver with a UK licence able to drive our client's automatic car.
  • It is essential that you are a swimmer as you will accompany Y to a private hydrotherapy pool and will be in the water with her (full training will be provided)
  • Y has two friendly dogs so you will be an animal lover with no allergies.

Pay:

- £16 per hour weekdays
- £17 per hour weekends
- £18 per hour bank holidays


Hours / Shifts:

An average of 27.25 hours per week

Weekdays - Tuesday and Friday

5:00 pm pm = 9 hours per week

Two Sundays per month

1:00 pm - 7:00 pm = 6 hours x 2 = 12 hours per month

Two Saturdays per month

9:00 am - 9:00 pm = 12 hours x 2 = 24 hours per month


The role includes dedicated "hands off" time (10 hours a week) for any admin/team management tasks - these 10 hours may be worked flexibly across the week in agreement with the Case Manager.
