Job Description:
AECOM's Sustainable Development Group are industry leaders in the field of low carbon design and sustainability in the built environment.
Our projects range from working with Government to support Building Regulations and National planning policy aimed at reducing climate change, to developing energy and sustainability strategies to support the low carbon design and planning of major new development and the decarbonisation of our cities and towns.
We are seeing an increasing demand for our consultancy services to assist building developers, organisations, cities and regions to develop deliverable strategies and action plans for achieving net zero carbon emissions.
We are seeking a senior energy/carbon consultant to join our established Sustainable Development Group to support this area of work.
- Working as part of a close knit team undertaking IES modelling to support internal and external clients to meet legislative and environmental/net zero commitments and targets.
- Support team leads by undertaking QA of colleagues' work to ensure a high quality standard of work is maintained.
- Help develop the skills of junior staff.
- Undertake building energy modelling in IES
- Input to newbuild projects and masterplans on how to minimise energy demands and seek to achieve net zero performance.
- Provide consultancy support to organisations (public and private sector) to develop carbon reduction strategies.
Qualifications:
- IES
- An ability to communicate effectively, be clientfacing and able to write concise and clear reports;
- Have a good understanding of and interest in sustainable development issues as they relate to the built environment;
- A science, engineering or buildingrelated degree.
