I'm currently recruiting for a niche high growth business on the outskirts of Warrington who are looking to employee a Finance Manager to be based primarily in their Head Office, however hybrid working is encouraged.

This would appeal to someone who is ambitious with capacity for accelerated career progression. Read on to find out the day to day


Requirements:


  • At least two years' experience working in a professional business finance environment
  • Highly organised and disciplined individual, and with an ability and desire to work well as part of a growing and ambitious team
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to explain and influence the financial management of the business
  • Very strong operating knowledge of all ledgers, accounting and financial administration
  • Would ideally suit AAT qualified / studying CIMA or ACCA with strong IT skills and excellent presentation
Role

  • All aspects of accounting and financial management across 6 businesses
  • Finance scenario modeling
  • Support tasks around budgeting and spend recommendation based on rolling quarter data
  • Setting up and utilisation of Digital Toolkits to streamline finance operations.
  • Contract billing and credit control
  • Deferred income calculations and reconciliation
  • Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers in QuickBooks
  • Cashbook postings and bank reconciliation
  • VAT returns quarterly
  • Maintenance and processing of payroll and expenses
  • Month end journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Management accounts and commentary
  • Other ad hoc financial control projects and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all Companies House, HMRC and Pensions regulations.
Salary & Terms

  • Full time equivalent salary
  • Holidays will be 25 days plus Bank Holidays Standard working hours are 37.5 per week, with flexibility between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm
