Description

Specialist manufacturer supplier a wide sector range including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Automotive, Rail and Marine is seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join the team at their prestigious new manufacturing facility in the UK North East.

This is a permanent role offering excellent progression.

The Role


The Sales Support Engineer will ensure the sales process runs efficiently from initial point of customer enquiry to final product delivery.

You will support the delivery of the commercial sales strategy and forecasts and actively seek new business opportunities for the wider Sales team.


The Sales Support Engineer will research, monitor and report market information and intelligence to Senior Management on potential opportunities and be responsible for account and contract management, customer relationships and customer engagement activities.


You will support the negotiation of new business contracts and bid submissions in collaboration with the technical & commercial departments and identify decision makers within existing and prospective new clients whilst investigating their requirements and providing creative problem-solving solutions.


The Sales Support Engineer will work closely with management and local branch team to maintain excellent service levels to clients as well as sharing best practice and client feedback to support continuous improvement activities.

An example of this would be technical inspection reports.


You will proactively support the business across their UK sites within some travel required typically within the UK on occasions.

The Sales Support Engineer will also support the development of brand presence on social media platforms.


The Person


The Sales Support Engineer will possess a strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles with demonstrable sales experience, preferably within industrial sectors such Rail, Marine, Power Generation.


Any previous experience of heat exchanger design, manufacture, servicing and repair process is highly advantageous for the role, in addition to any understanding of fabrication processes, methods and modern manufacturing techniques.


You will be a strong Influencer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop networks with Customers, Suppliers and internal stakeholders across all levels.
