Description

RPS is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our environment team as an apprentice. We can base the role at a variety of locations including Bristol, Abingdon, London and Manchester.

The position will suit someone with a real interest in geology and contaminated land who enjoys a balance of office and site works and travelling.

We specialise in all areas of the built and natural environment, shaping the future of our environmental, social and economic landscapes.

What you'll be doing
You'll be working both in the office and site-based activities that could include:

Site based environmental monitoring such as water and soil sampling.
Site based support for our ground investigation projects.
Preparing information and undertaking assessments to support environmental desk study appraisals and subsequent assessments.
Environmental data entry and management, becoming familiar with industry data formats including software packages for the management of geotechnical and Geoenvironmental data.
Geological appraisals.
Working individually (with supervision) or as part of a site team.
Helping prepare factual reports.

Who we're looking for

Having undertaken Geology at A Level is advantageous.
Full clean driving licence

Logging of soils and rocks.
Environmental monitoring.

Desk studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments
Minerals appraisals
Coal mining risk assessments.
Ground engineering appraisals.
Waste classification and material reuse.
